1. Cookies and similar storage
A cookie is information a browser sends back to a website on later requests. G2U also uses localStorage, which can persist between visits, and sessionStorage, which is associated with a browser tab. These are different technologies, but rules on device storage can apply to all of them.
This page describes storage present in the application. It does not treat every convenience feature as legally exempt from consent and does not claim that a general optional-storage consent panel is implemented.
2. First-party session cookie
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime and properties |
|---|---|---|
sid | Random identifier for the server-side session: sign-in, cart, private guest-order access, form protection, language/currency choices and related session state. | 30 days when set. Path=/, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax; Secure when the site is configured for HTTPS. Server-session validity is renewed during use; expired server sessions are periodically removed. |
The cookie does not itself contain your password or the full order record. Blocking it can prevent checkout, sign-in, private guest access and other session-based functions from working.
3. Persistent browser storage
| Key or key family | Use | Retention |
|---|---|---|
g2u:wishlist:guest | Guest saved product identifiers; these can be merged into your account when you sign in. | Until removed, merged or cleared; no fixed time expiry. |
g2u-recent-games-v1 | Up to five recently visited games for menu shortcuts. | Updated as you browse; no fixed time expiry. |
g2u:alert-sound | Your choice to enable or disable notification sounds. | Until changed or browser storage is cleared. |
g2u:support-alert-cursor:* | Support-message notification position, to avoid repeating alerts. | No fixed time expiry; browser storage can be cleared. |
g2u-rte:v1:* | Draft recovery in the administrative content editor, not a general customer analytics feature. | Updated or removed by editor actions, or cleared in the browser; no fixed time expiry. |
Persistent does not mean guaranteed permanent: the browser, user or site feature may remove or replace a value. Saved-item and preference features are distinct from the core session; this policy does not assert that they all qualify as strictly necessary under every jurisdiction’s rules.
4. Tab and chat storage
sessionStorage is used for checkout-registration drafts (g2u-checkout-registration-draft, restored once within 15 minutes), account-chat drafts (g2u:chat-draft:*), support drafts (g2u:support:draft:* and g2u:support:new-draft), support-window state (g2u:support:window) and per-tab notification positions (g2u:alert-cursors:per-tab:*).
These values support draft recovery, chat-window state and non-duplicated alerts. They normally last for the tab’s session, subject to browser restore behaviour, and can be removed earlier by the relevant feature or your browser. Drafts can contain text you have not sent; avoid leaving sensitive text on shared devices.
5. Third-party resources
The site requests fonts from Google Fonts. Relevant verification forms can load Cloudflare Turnstile when enabled. These requests disclose technical connection information to the resource provider, and any storage used by an enabled third-party service is governed by its operation and applicable privacy information. This policy does not invent a fixed list or lifetime for cookies that a provider may set in a particular browser session.
No advertising-pixel or analytics-cookie integration is identified in the current application. That is not a guarantee about every external page you choose to visit. See our Privacy Policy for information on service providers.
6. Your controls and consent
You can block or delete cookies and clear site storage in your browser’s privacy or site-data settings. Browser developer tools can show cookies, localStorage and sessionStorage for this site. You can remove saved items and change notification-sound preferences through the relevant site controls.
Clearing sid or site storage can sign you out, empty a session cart, remove drafts or preferences and break access to guest conversations or orders. Keep a private order link safely before clearing data. Browser controls do not erase information already sent to G2U.
The site does not currently provide a separate dashboard to consent to or reject optional storage categories. We therefore do not represent that these features have been enabled through such a dashboard, or that accepting the Terms of Service constitutes optional-cookie consent. Questions about storage or your data can be sent through Contact & Support.
